These double-conversion online uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), offer extremely tight voltage and frequency regulation, internal bypass, and input power factor correction. Delivering high performance power protection in a 3U rack height, the 6000VA model addresses customers’ needs for an online UPS that can deliver scalable runtime in a small space. This level of power protection was previously available only in a 4U or 6U size.

The 6000VA and 8000VA models round out the Smart-UPS RT family and give customers the ability to implement innovative solutions for computer rooms to data centers with 1-20 racks. High power internal chargers allow virtually unlimited additional matching battery packs to comply with aggressive runtime demands of business-critical systems.
The units are available in tower as well as rack-optimized (3U and 6U) models that are tested and certified for use within APC’s InfraStruXure architecture.

Ideal for applications requiring two hour or longer runtimes, the Smart-UPS RT has a high-efficiency inverter design and offers the ability to add unlimited hot-swappable battery packs.
Features such as a wide input voltage range (-23 percent to +25 percent at full load and -52 percent to +25 percent at half load), intelligent precision charging, and UPS battery management all help ensure maximum battery life.
Additionally, a flexible form factor allows easy deployment in either an integrated InfraStruXure solution, an IT rack environment, or as a stand-alone unit for medical lab or light industrial sites.
The Smart-UPS RT family also offers a wide range of management options. All units come with a remote management capability featuring APC’s PowerChute(R) monitoring and management software. Centralized management of the Smart-UPS RT is simple using APC’s InfraStruXure Manager as well as other server-management tools.
The 6000VA and 8000VA Smart-UPS RT are now available worldwide at estimated resale prices of $3,575 and $4,575, respectively.
