CAMBRIDGE — Arthur D. Little Inc. has been hired by the Navy to evaluate and negotiate
the possible sale of $5 billion to $10 billion worth of electric utility, water,
and wastewater systems at 57 Navy or Marine Corps sites in the East. The Navy
valued the contract at up to $36 million over three years, the Boston Globe reported.
The evaluation is part of a Pentagon cost-cutting privatization program with possible
annual savings of $3 billion a year, the Globe reported.
