A.T. Cross develops digital pen for new ThinkPad TransNote

LINCOLN — A.T. Cross Company announced it is providing digital pens for the new
IBM (R) ThinkPad (R) TransNote(TM) portfolio notebook computer. The ThinkPad(TM)
TransNote integrates paper and ink with a mobile computer. Its versatile form
factor features a ThinkPad mobile computer with touch-screen and the ThinkScribe
digital notepad that captures handwritten notes and transfers them to the computer
where they can be organized and searched. Cross is manufacturing the pen for IBM’s
ThinkPad TransNote pursuant to a strategic agreement between Cross and FinePoint
Innovations, Inc. (FPI), a leading manufacturer of pen-based computing systems
with patents in electronic pen input subsystems.
