Attleboro Area Chamber of Commerce adds Cigna to group health insurance plans

ATTLEBORO, MASS. — The Attleboro Area Chamber of Commerce, which offers its members group health insurance, has added Cigna Health Plans to its catalog of group health and dental insurance plans.

According to Chamber President Lorraine McCarthy, the Chamber chose Cigna because it is relatively affordable to small businesses. Often, small businesses or self-employed individuals are deterred from purchasing a health plan because of the high cost, she said.

The Chamber also offers its members group health and dental insurance from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Associated Health Plan, UNITEDhealthcare of New England, and Delta Dental Care.

One of the benefits of joining the Attleboro Area Chamber of Commerce is the opportunity to receive group health insurance, even if there is only one person in the business, McCarthy said.
