Russel W. Burgess has been appointed vice president and investment officer at Washington Trust. He will be responsible for providing portfolio management services at the bank’s main branch. He was formerly employed at Linden Capital Management in Boston, Mass. Burgess earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt. He is currently enrolled in the trust program at the New England School of Banking.
