Armeather Gibbs has been appointed senior vice president of community development at Fleet-Rhode Island. She will serve as a contributor and member of Fleet’s Community Banking Group whose mission it is to work in partnership with Fleet’s internal line of business and external partners to promote business and development opportunities. A former 25-year employee of BankBoston, Gibbs previously served as trust clerk, commercial loan processor, treasury department investment officer and small business and middle market lender. She was formerly employed as Rhode Island director of community and constituent affairs and served on Governor Lincoln Almond’s transition team in 1994.
