Brian Pettiford has been appointed to the staff of Southcoast Hospitals Group in the practice of cardiac and thoracic surgery. He specializes in heart surgery and minimally invasive thoracic surgery, including surgery for lung cancer and esophageal reflux. Pettiford is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is on the staff at both the Charlton and St. Luke’s sites of Southcoast. Pettiford is a graduate of the University of Pittburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Pettiford lives with his family in Portsmouth.
