Virtual Media technologies adds to security team
Richard Chew, Erik Dumke, Angela Loomis and Jason Tetlow have joined Virtual Media Technologies. Chew has joined the sales and marketing group as an account executive. The other three have been added to the technical lineup as Internet-working engineers. They will be responsible for all technical monitoring and support of VMT’s new DefendNet security solution. Chew is responsible for all sales support in the Northern Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Northern New England region. Prior to joining the company he served as a technical sales representative for both Thomas Financial Company in Boston and Network Integrity in Marlborough, Mass. A Tiverton resident, he has more than fifteen years of sales and marketing experience. Chew is a graduate of New England College in New Hampshire, and the University of Rhode Island. He also completed the client/server certificate program at Clark University.

Dumke has worked in manufacturing and quality control for over ten years. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. A Warren resident, he received a certificate of professional achievement from Roger Williams University in 1999 and studied chemical engineering at the University of Rhode Island and Northeastern University.

Loomis, who also holds an MCP designation, was most recently employed as a technical director and production technician at WJAR-TV, Channel 10. In addition she worked as a video production technician at Dimension Cable in West Warwick. A Rhode Island College cum laude graduate, she lives in East Greenwich.

Tetlow joined VMT after working as an MIS technician and service desk analyst for Foxwood Resort Casino. He also consulted for Westerly-based Cadd Pro. A resident of Westerly, Tetlow studied computer science at the Community College of Rhode Island.

PEP names Whyte sales manager
Pentair Electronic Packaging has appointed Stephen J. Whyte as West Coast regional sales manager. He will be responsible for sales of the Warwick company’s premier Schroff brand enclosure lines, outdoor aluminum enclosures and metal stamping as well as its custom design and turnkey integration services to major OEM accounts. He joins PEP from APW Enclosures, where he served as regional sales manager, directing district managers and independent manufacturers’ rep firms.
