CENTRAL FALLS – La Sorpresa, a Latino restaurant on Dexter Street, was the site of this morning’s launch of “The International Foods of the Blackstone Valley,” a new campaign by the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council to promote the region’s multicultural cuisine.
Tourism officials, campaign sponsors and representatives of the Blackstone Valley’s diverse ethnic community all were on hand for the 11 a.m. event.

The campaign is to include more than 70,000 brochures and a new Web site highlighting the region’s many ethnically-owned food, grocery and dining establishments.
