Carrie Vargas has been promoted to vice president/regional manager of Rhode Island’s Eastern Retail Region at Citizens Bank. She most recently held the position of vice president/ branch manager of the bank’s East Side branch in Providence. Vargas joined the bank in 1999. She received a bachelor’s degree from Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass., and her master’s degree from Assumption College in Worcester. She lives in North Kingstown.
