Cindy Mlyniec has been named executive director for the Literacy Volunteers of America – Rhode Island. She oversees the general operations of LVA-RI and is responsible for providing a wide variety of services including fundraising, technical, advocacy and skills development support. Mlyniec is also chair of the R.I. Workforce Literacy Collaborative. A resident of Cumberland, she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Rhode Island.
