CVS Pharmacies has repurchased $129 million in shares. The move is part of a $1 billion common stock repurchase plan approved by the company’s board in March. The program allows CVS to acquire the shares, in part, to fund employee benefit plans, according to the filing.
Since the plan’s inception through Sept. 29, the company has repurchased $8.1 million shares for about $292 million.
