CVS Trust awards $100,000 to sports organization

The National Disability Sports Alliance has received a $100,000 grant from the CVS/pharmacy Charitable Trust, the private foundation managed by the Woonsocket-based CVS Corp.
The alliance, a nonprofit that provides fitness, sport and recreational opportunities to individuals with disabilities, said it will use the grant to recruit youth with disabilities and introduce them to a more active lifestyle through the Kennedy Krieger Institute Physically Challenged Sports Program in Baltimore, Md., the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton, Mass., and the National Disability Sports Alliance of Rhode Island.
