Dunkin’ Donuts, the coffee and baked goods chain with a significant presence in Rhode Island, could be sold by a Paris-based liquor company that has agreed to acquire Dunkin’s parent firm Allied Domecq Plc for $14 billion in cash and stock, Bloomberg News reports.
Pernod Ricard SA plans to sell Dunkin’ Donuts to help finance the acquisition, Bloomberg says. Allied Domecq operates globally in branded spirits, wines and quick-service restaurants.
