East Side Post Office moving

PROVIDENCE – After years of cramped quarters at 201 Meeting Street, the East Side Post Office is moving into a new, roomier office on Thayer Street on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The building at 309 Thayer St. is designed to meet the needs of the East Side Zip Code area, 02906, the Post Service announced. Box holders will be able to pick up their new keys for the new boxes on or after Oct. 9 if they bring in the old keys they used in their Meeting Street boxes. Customers who have been notified that a letter or parcel is available for pickup may pick it up at the Thayer Street site as of October 9.
