PROVIDENCE, R.I. — eBT International, Inc., a developer and marketer of business-to-business and business- to-consumer applications for the Web, reported a net loss of $3.1 million, or 19 cents per share, compared to a loss of $13,966,000, or 89 cents per share, for the same period a year ago.
The company reported net revenues of $2,532,000 for ongoing operations in the third quarter, compared to net revenues of $3,561,000 for ongoing operations for the same quarter last year. eBT’s ongoing operations are comprised of its Web content management technologies and related services (run under the name eBusiness Technologies).

eBT’s total revenue for the third quarter of 1999 was $19,421,000, a figure that includes revenues from its former PDM and IED divisions, and its former MediaBank product line, all of which were divested between October 1999 and July 2000.
For the nine months ended October 31, net revenues from eBusiness Technologies were $9,396,000, compared to $6,148,000 for the same period last year. Total net revenues for the nine months ended October 31 were $18,477,000, compared to total net revenues of $50,282,000 for the same period last year. Net income was $18,299,000, or $1.07 per share, for the nine months ended October 31, 2000, while net loss was $51,814,000, or $3.33 per share, for the same period a year ago. This year’s net income includes non-operating gains of some $36.4 million, primarily related to the disposition of IED. The prior year net loss includes non-operating gains of some $11.9 million, primarily for the disposition of a portion of the former PDM division, the company said.
