Peter Alfonso has joined the University of Rhode Island as vice provost for research, graduate studies and outreach and professor of communicative disorders in the College of Human Science and Services. He previously was vice president of research at the University of North Dakota and president of the UND Research Foundation. A University of Connecticut graduate, he has a master’s degree from Western Michigan University and a doctorate from Purdue University.
