Laurie Barron, Esq. has been appointed as director of the Feinstein Institute
for Legal Service at the Roger Williams University School of Law. Her responsibilities
will include placing students in judicial and public interest clerkships where
they can learn first-hand about the practice of law and the ethos of public interest
work. For the last five years, Barron has taught law school clinical programs
serving indigent clients. She received a bachelor of arts degree in American studies
from Yale University in 1981, a master of social work degree from New York University
School of Social Work in 1985, and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University
School of Law in 1986. She is a member of the bars of Massachusetts, New York
and Illinois.
