Hopkinton, Massachusetts-based EMC Corp.
chief financial officer William Teuber expects the largest maker
of computer data-storage systems to be profitable in the second
half, reiterating the company’s forecast.
The company expects a third-quarter loss of 1 cent a share
and fourth-quarter profit of 2 cents, Teuber said at a SoundView
Technology Group’s conference on data-storage gear at the Seaport
Hotel & World Trade Center in Boston. The forecasts are in line
with the average estimates in Thomson First Call analyst survey.
