Entrepreneurship seminars on tap

Three separate programs will be held next week for current and aspiring entrepreneurs.

A two part course on “Financial Management” offered by the Center for Women and Enterprise (CWE) will begin on Tuesday , December 6 from 9-11 a.m. The second session will be held on December 13 also from 9-11 a. m. Attendees will learn to read and interpret financial statements, and understand how this knowledge will improve a company’s bottom line. Registration cost is $65. On Wednesday, December 7, “How to Start or Run a Profitable Small Business” will presented at the CCRI Warwick Campus on 400 East Avenue from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The free program, developed by David Lucier CPA, principal of Lucier & Company in Johnston and David Nash, president of Engage Marketing Advisors in Coventry is designed to prepare attendees for a new and successful entrepreneurial experience.

On Thursday December 8, the CWE will present “How to Obtain Bank Financing” from 9-10 a.m. at their office on George Cohan Boulevard in Providence. Participants will have the opportunity to get individualized attention from loan specialists to review your business plan, credit reports, financial statements and tax returns.
