eProperty.com a provider of technology solutions and Web-based applications
for the real estate industry based in California has launched a new Web site
for the Corporate Real Estate Department of FleetBoston Financial. The Web site
www.fleetproperty.com, catalogs more than 50 surplus bank branches currently
being offered for sale or lease by Fleet. As a result of Fleet’s 1999 merger
with BankBoston Corporation, Fleet faced a surplus of numerous retail locations,
which company officials said will be posted on the new Web site.
Gerald M. Rohm, president and chief executive officer of eProperty, said the
goal in launching the online solution for Fleet was three-fold.

“First, we wanted to create a turnkey, branded solution that would allow Fleet
to easily dispose of a large portfolio of properties and second, we were out
to build an extensive repository of property information that allows users to
determine which properties meet their acquisition criteriaFinally, we wanted
to make the ordering of due diligence materials, such as environmental documents
that are too large for a user with a dial up account to download on a timely
basis, as easy as possible. “
