Fan Pier developer says Pritzker settlement no obstacle

BOSTON – A representative of Nicholas Pritzker, the developer of the Fan Pier in South Boston, announced in a statement that a recent tax settlement of $480 million by the Pritzker family with the federal government will have no effect on the development. The development includes a minicity and a Grand Hyatt Hotel, plus luxury apartments along the waterfront. The settlement, which involves a failed bank, will involve payments spread over 15 years, the Boston Globe reported.
