Fernando Garcia has been elected chairman for the Charlton Memorial Business Council. He will lead the council in its mission to create partnerships between the hospital and the businesses in the Greater Fall River community. Garcia was recently elected chairman of the New Bedford Economic Development Council. He is an active member on the boards of Work Force Investment, Fall River Chamber of Commerce, U.S.S. Massachusetts Memorial Committee, American Heart Association, Slade’s Ferry Bank, Charlton College of Business and the Prince Henry Society. Garcia is a resident of New Bedford, Mass.
