GTECH appoints senior V.P. and permanent general counsel

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. — Lottery giant GTECH has appointed Marc A. Crisafulli to the posts of senior vice president and permanent general counsel. Crisafulli has been the company’s acting general counsel since August 2000.

Crisafulli replaces Cindy Nebergall, who stepped down from the posts last year. His responsibilities will include managing and overseeing all legal matters for the company, and serving as secretary of the Corporate Governance and Compliance Committee for GTECH’s board of directors.

Crisafulli formerly was a partner at Edwards & Angell, LLP, in Providence, where he served as a commercial trial lawyer and handled many litigation and regulatory matters for GTECH, GTECH said. Prior to that, he was a law clerk to the Honorable Ernest C. Torres, United States District Judge, for the District of Rhode Island.
