GTECH elects new chairman

GTECH today announced that retired Lt. Gen. Emmett Paige, Jr. has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of GTECH Holdings Corporation. Paige has been a GTECH Director since 1997 and currently serves as vice president of Lockheed Martin Information Technology Company.

In the corporate governance structure of GTECH Holdings Corporation, the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors is a non-executive position, elected from among the standing Independent Directors of the Corporation.

Paige served 41 years with the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Lieutenant General. After his retirement from the Army, he served as President and COO of OAO Corporation, a systems engineering and information systems services company.
