Each Hasbro Gaming Crate will cost $49.99 and contain three brand-new games from one of two categories: party-themed games intended for adults, or family-themed games inclusive of all ages. Jonathan Berkowitz, senior vice president of marketing for Hasbro Gaming, called the subscription service “the perfect marriage” for the toymaker’s games division.

Hasbro’s sales of new games such as Speak Out, Toilet Trouble, Pie-Face and Fantastic Gymnastics climbed 43 percent in the first quarter, Providence Business News reported Monday. The added gaming revenue contributed to a 46 percent rise in the company’s total profits to $68.6 million compared with last year’s first quarter.
