Sandra L. Coletta has been named chief operating officer at The Miriam Hospital in Providence. Her responsibilities will include the day-to-day management of the hospital, developing annual operating and capital budgets, and developing and implementing strategic, financial and operational plans. She has been with Miriam Hospital since 1983, most recently as chief administrative officer. She was formerly employed as senior auditor at Laventhol and Howarth of Providence. Coletta joined Lifespan as senior vice president for managed care in 1994, becoming associate executive director and chief operating officer for the Lifespan Physicians PSO in 1996. She received her bachelor of science in accounting from Providence College and her master’s in business adminsitration from Bryant College. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Rhode Island Society of CPAs, the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association. She resides with her family in Johnston.
