Lisa Hawthorne has been named director of external relations at Rhode Island Quality Care Partners of Providence. Her responsibilities will include developing the Take Care RI initiative and serving as project leader for external relations activities. She was formerly a vice president of corporate communications at Village Retirement Communities. Hawthorne has a degree in art history and French from William Smith College and has done post-graduate work in business administration and the arts. She resides in East Greenwich.
