Heartlab CEO Robert Petrocelli a finalist for National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Westerly-based Heartlab, Inc. founder, president and CEO Robert Petrocelli is a finalist for the national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. As one of six regional winners of the 2001 Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year Awards announced in June, Petrocelli is automatically in the running for the national award.

Now in its fifteenth year, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards program recognizes outstanding leaders of entrepreneurial companies. More than 50 percent of the Nasdaq Top 100 (including Starbucks and Dell Computers) have been Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year winners or finalists.

The national award winner will be announced at an awards gala on Nov. 17 at the Fifteenth Annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year International Conference in Palm Springs, California from Nov. 15 – 18.
