James A. Farrelly has been appointed vice president at Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. in East Providence. He is responsible for the employee benefits brokerage group. Farrelly is an experienced insurance executive, and has 20 years’ experience in the employee benefits field. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College in Maine and currently lives in Groton, Mass.
