Jeffrey G. Brier, partner at the Providence-based insurance agency Brier & Brier, has been appointed chairman of the board at The Miriam Hospital. He previously held the position of vice chairman. He received a bachelor’s degree from Lake Forest College in Illinois and his master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. Brier and his family live in Providence.
