Joel Burns

Joel Burns, director of human resources for The Standard Times, has been elected chairman of the St. Luke’s Hospital Business Council. He will lead the council on its mission to create partnerships between the hospital and businesses in the Greater New Bedford community. Burns has served on the Private Industry Council board in New Bedford, Bristol Community College Board and the finance committee of the town of Dartmouth. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Burns is a resident of South Dartmouth, Mass.
