Karen Bordeleau has been named deputy executive editor of The Providence Journal. She will oversee three of the paper’s main news desks: commerce/consumer, futures and justice. Bordeleau will also direct new content initiatives and assist in the administration of the news department. Bordeleau joined the staff of The Providence Journal in 1996 and has worked in numerous roles for the newspaper and its website, projo.com. •
