Kent Whitaker has been named first vice president for Providence-based Tameracq Partners Inc. He previously held the position of senior vice president and branch manager of the Providence location of Smith Barney. He has completed chartered financial analyst level 1 certification. Whitaker is chairman of the East Side/Mt. Hope YMCA board of management. He is a graduate of Purdue University in Indiana. Whitaker lives in Providence.
