Kevin Chamberlain has joined The Spectrum Capital Group in Bristol as director. He was previously a loan officer with BankNewport and Fleet Bank. In his new position, Chamberlain is responsible for developing new M&A and corporate finance business. He is a graduate of Brown University and lives in Jamestown.

Audrey C. Potts has joined Citizens~Union Savings Bank as a mortgage officer in Fall River, Mass. She originates real estate loans from Citizens~Union Custom House Square office in New Bedford, Mass. Potts has a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College in New York. She lives in Dartmouth, Mass.

Louise Parker has been appointed project manager of TRAC Builders Inc. in Johnston. Prior to joining the company in 2004, she was with the Armory Revival Company. Parker has 11 years of purchasing and project management experience. In her new role, she maintains liaison between TRAC’s clients, architects, engineers and project supervisors, as well as project schedules and budgets. Parker lives in Providence.

The Rev. Joseph J. Guido has been appointed vice president for mission and ministry at Providence College. He is one of eight vice presidents comprising the senior management team for the newly appointed president of the college. Guido will coordinate the college-wide process of maintaining, enhancing and promoting the mission of Providence College and will oversee the work of the office of the chaplain and related initiatives.
Fund raising
Denise Todd has been appointed director of fund development at Tockwotton Home in Providence. She was previously director of fund raising at the Rhode Island Society of Amateur Scientists. In her new role, Todd will oversee fund-raising initiatives and assist with Tockwotton’s fund-raising efforts. She has a bachelor’s degree in art history from Georgia State University. Todd lives in Providence.

Cheryl Perna has been appointed nurse manager of the inpatient child and adolescent programs at Butler Hospital in Providence. She previously served as hospital nursing supervisor and will now oversee three inpatient units and the intensive treatment unit. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s in nursing from the University of Rhode Island. Perna lives in North Attleboro, Mass.

Howard Adams has been named assistant vice president of commercial lines underwriting at The Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company in Warwick. He was previously the company’s commercial lines supervisor. Adams has more than 27 years’ experience in the industry and is now responsible for all underwriting and department operations. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts.

Patricia Cline has been named assistant vice president of personal lines underwriting at The Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company in Warwick. She joined the company in 2001 as a personal lines underwriter and was promoted to personal lines manager in 2001. Cline has 26 years’ experience in the industry and will now oversee all aspects of personal lines.

Mark Trombly has been named assistant vice president of marketing at The Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company in Warwick. He was previously the company’s director of marketing. Trombly has 20 years of industry experience and is now responsible for marketing in all divisions of the company. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Law
Steven M. Richard has joined Nixon Peabody LLP in Providence as counsel in the firm’s business litigation practice group. His practice will focus on trials and arguments involving diverse legal issues. Richard is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, and is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit and the U.S. district courts for these three states.
Nonprofit
Diane Hurley, CEO of Newport Grand, was recently honored by Providence-based Youth in Action for her support of the organization. She has supported the organization since 2002, providing financial assistance, as well as being a role model and mentor for youth. In addition, Hurley serves on many boards and committees in the state. She is a graduate of Wellesley College.
