Credit Suisse First Boston on Tuesday said it narrowed its fiscal year 2002 loss estimate on Taunton, Massachusetts-based Kopin Corp. to 30 cents a share from 54 cents after the maker of flat panel displays reported third-quarter results at the high end of expectations.
Analyst Michael Masdea also said he narrowed his 2001 loss estimate to 59 cents a share from 65 cents.

He said Kopin reported a third-quarter loss of 15 cents a the high end of its revised 15 cent to 17 cent loss estimate.
The company reported revenues of $12.3 million, beating its revised guidance of $11.6 million to $12 million.
Shares of Kopin rose 56 cents, or 4.3 percent, at $13.67 on Nasdaq in morning trade.
