MIDDLETOWN – Middletown-based KVH Industries announced recently that Tweeter Home Entertainment Group has signed on as the first nationwide retailer for the new TracVision A5 satellite TV antenna.
Tweeter will sell, install and support the TracVision A5 through a retailer network comprised of 147 stores under the Tweeter, HiFi Buys and Sound Advice names in the New England, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Chicago, Texas and southern California markets.
TracVision A5 is a revolutionary low-profile satellite TV antenna designed specifically for passenger vehicles.
“Mobile video products have been the fastest-growing segment of the mobile electronics business for the last three years,” said Dan Jeancola, Tweeter’s vice president of mobile electronics.
KVH Industries has expanded its deal with Fleetwood Enterprises, an RV manufacturer.
Hatch Technology opens office in Fall River
FALL RIVER — Hatch Technology, a designer and builder of robotic equipment, has expanded into a new 12,000-square-foot facility at 927 Currant Road in Fall River, moving from a space a quarter of the size on Hatch Street in New Bedford.
After being in business for nearly five years, Hatch’s Chief Executive Marty Schwalm decided to expand into the new location because the company needed a bigger space to operate the business and meet its engineering and production needs.
Hatch designs robotic machines using 3-D design and builds the robots based on its clients’ needs, which include packaging, assembly and testing.
The company used a $75,000 low-interest loan from the Fall River Office of Economic Development for its expansion.
