Lana Amodei, vice president and secretary of Carcieri’s Market, has been honored as the National Grocers Association’s 2004 Women Grocer of America. The Women Grocers of America recognizes an industry retail or wholesale woman whose leadership has contributed to the success of her company. Amodei has been in the grocery business for 27 years. She and her husband purchased Carcieri’s Market in 1976. She has been a board member of the Rhode Island Food Dealers Association since 1990.
