Langevin, Kennedy host first responder training

Congressmen Jim Langevin and Patrick Kennedy announced on Friday that they will be hosting first responder training in conjunction with the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) on November 7 from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the John O. Pastore Complex in Cranston.

The event is free, but space is limited.

“This program is intended to provide first responders with a greater awareness of the types of chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear hazards they may face in the field,” said Langevin.
“These organizations will provide terrorism briefings to first responders and public safety officials, in an effort to highlight the many possible threats and putting them into perspective,” said Kennedy.
