LiveWave makes it on GSA’s list

NEWPORT – LiveWave Inc., a developer of digital video and camera systems, won a contract with the General Services Administration for information technology equipment, software and services.

The Newport-based business can now offer its products and services to government entities that will no longer have to competitively bid to purchase LiveWave products.

The GSA, which is the managing partner for five of the 24 White House e-government initiatives, secures space, equipment and systems from federal and commercial sources at the best price.

LiveWave’s equipment is currently being used by military and law enforcement agencies as well as by emergency management officials.

“We are very pleased to receive this contract award from GSA,” said Peter
Mottur, chief executive officer at LiveWave. “There are a growing number of
government agencies using our systems and solutions to protect people and key
assets. This designation will make it easier for more agencies to procure our
turn-key FirstView products and services to help strengthen homeland defense
and fight the war on terrorism.”
