Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch recently approved a disaffiliation agreement between Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island and Lifespan Corporation, ending a three-year-long process.
Lynch said that among various amendments made during negotiations was an arrangement that allowed Home & Hospice to procure a lower interest rate and extend its length of payments to Lifespan, making it easier for the hospice group to meet its financial obligations to Lifespan.

“We not only concluded that the parties engaged in diligent negotiations but also that the disaffiliation agreement benefits both Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island and Lifespan,” said Lynch.
