Mary B. Olenn has been named chairperson of the Providence Public Library board of trustees. She has served as a trustee and officer since 1982. She is the first woman elected to chair the library’s board in it’s history. She also holds the position of health promotion consultant at Rhode Island College. Olenn is also a trustee at Butler Hospital. She is a graduate of Cornell University and Rhode Island College. Olenn lives in Barrington.
