Mary Carskadon has been named a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science for her research on circadian rhythms in adolescence.
She is a professor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and director of chronobiology at Bradley Hospital.
Carskadon’s work has affected policy in many school districts, prompting administrators to consider later daily starting times.
