Michael A. Coady has been appointed chairman of the department of surgery at Woonsocket-based Landmark Medical Center. He was formerly chief of cardiac transplantation and an assistant professor of surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. In his new role, Coady, a heart surgeon, works with the chairman of the department of cardiovasular surgery and medicine and the chief of cardiovascular surgery. He also oversees all surgical disciplines within the medical center. Coady received his medical degree from the George Washington University.
