Michael Roy has been promoted to vice president, compliance officer at Bank Rhode Island. He ensures bank-wide compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations. He is responsible for the implementation of staff training and development programs with respect to compliance policy. Roy also serves as the bank’s secrecy officer. He previously held the position of vice president, branch operations manager. He received a bachelor’s degree from Bryant College and his master’s degree from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass. Roy lives in Linwood, Mass.
