Michael T. Bailin, president of Narragansett Bay Anesthesia, has been appointed anesthesiologist-in-chief of The Miriam Hospital. NBA provides full clinical services for the departments of surgery, cardiology and gastroenterology at the hospital. Bailin is a founding member of the International Medical-Surgical Response Team East, a cooperative effort between the National Disaster Medical System and the U.S. Department of State. He is also a member of the Disaster Medical Assistance Team in Mass. and the Department of Homeland Security. He received a bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Bailin and his family live in Providence and Wellesley, Mass.
