Nancy Towers has joined Rhode Island Hospital as nursing director of the emergency department. She has 30 years of nursing experience and was formerly director of nursing clinical systems at Newport Hospital. In her new role, she will direct emergency services and implement improvement strategies. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Rhode Island.
