Rogers Corp. manufactures and sells specialty polymer composite materials and
components, with more than 50 percent of its sales to communications and computer
markets. Rogers president and chief executive officer, Walter E. Boomer, projected
in the company’s annual report that Rogers’ continued growth will make it the
first choice worldwide for specialty materials, becoming a billion-dollar company
by 2006. He said the company continues to invest in research and development,
and will continue with a strategy of growth that includes acquisition of businesses,
including the pending acquisition of the Advanced Dielectric Division of Taconic,
which is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of 2001.
