Nestor Traffic Systems wins contract

PROVIDENCE — Nestor Traffic Systems, an affiliate of Nestor, Inc., has been awarded a three-year contract from the City Council of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. for the company’s Crossing Guard video-based automated red light enforcement system.

Crossing Guard records and saves images of vehicles when they violate traffic signals at intersections. In addition, it sends a signal to opposing traffic to briefly extend red lights during such violations. The product is also capable of recording close-up color images of front and rear license plates and the driver.
