The Rhode Island Bankers Association has donated $4,500 to the Salvation Army’s
Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund. The association raised the money at their
annual golf tournament at the Wanumetonomy Golf and Country Club in Middletown.
The event was supported by members of the banking community and related vendors.

The Salvation Army’s Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund has provided assistance to more than 20,000 Rhode Island families who cannot afford to pay their energy bills becaause of temporary financial crisis and do not qualify for federal or state funds. Families in need can apply for assistance at any Salvation Army office in Rhode Island, or by calling (401) 421-0956.
